Simon Fraser

Hi! My name’s Simon Fraser and I am a comedian, originally from London, England but I became the first person in human history to move voluntarily to Columbus, Ohio (the greatest city in the world). Most people know me because I explained why Fahrenheit is better than Celsius (and I will die on that hill). But I also tell other jokes and I’d love for you to come out to a live show to hear them. If you fill out my mailing list, I can email you when I’m coming to a place near you! (That’s all I will ever email you about.) I also have a bunch of shows already scheduled for this year so click the second link and see if your city’s on there! I also run a monthly show in Chicago. If you live in Chicago, please come!

About.

Simon Fraser is America's favorite Brit, bringing his unique perspective and mischievous stories of an Englishman living in (and loving) middle America to stages across the United States. He has opened for Jason Banks on his nationwide tour and he has performed at festivals such as the Laughing Skull Comedy Festival in Atlanta, the Nantucket Comedy Festival, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Simon has received over 80 million views for his jokes on social media, and in 2022, he became the youngest ever winner of the Funniest Person in Cincinnati competition. He also produces and frequently performs at the hit Don’t Tell Comedy shows in Columbus, Ohio, which he maintains is the comedy capital of the world.

“Talk about an ab workout in a comedy show… Simon knocked it out of the park with his unique jokes and stories. He can and will cater to all sorts of crowds and will not disappoint. Simon is the next, with my utmost certainty, big name coming out of Ohio since LeBron - and is coming to a town near you.” - New York City

“I had the pleasure of hosting Simon for the final leg of his cross country tour and couldn’t more highly recommend him. Funny, professional and dashingly handsome, Simon showed up and brought the house down with a hilarious set worthy of a Netflix special. If you get the opportunity to host him for an apartment show, take it, because he will be moving onto much bigger stages very soon.” - New York City

“Simon was so funny. We had such a blast hosting him for our apartment show that I’d do it again in a heartbeat. Booking was easy and he was very professional and prepared. Glad we booked him now before he’s on TV!” - New York City

“Simon performed at one of my parties and I have legit asked him to perform at everything I’ve hosted since. This guy is objectively funny, knows how to work a crowd, and his bits land with men and women of all ages (my mom and dad are huge fans.) Simon’s comedy brings an electric vibe that just makes the night better. And my friends all thought I was really cool for knowing such an entertaining guy. Book him for your events!!” - Columbus, Ohio

“Simon put on one of the funniest comedy shows I’ve seen in New York. It was the perfect way to spend an evening. I expect to see him at the Comedy Cellar down the street from my apartment very soon.” - New York City

“We booked Simon to do a show on our roof. Our crowd of a few dozen unanimously agreed it was one of the funniest hours of our lives. A perfect mix of self-deprecating jokes and hilarious social commentary. He commanded the audience’s attention so easily throughout the show and was awesome with the delivery of his material. We have been trying to bring him back ever since.” - New York City

“It felt like Simon came in and immediately knew the crowd. It was a great performance, bringing in quite weird skills and constantly bringing us back to old jokes from earlier in the skit. It was fucking funny too.” - UPenn Fraternity, Philadelphia

“I had Simon perform for an event I hosted, it got me laid. Book him.” - Beverly Hills, Los Angeles

Consider the Hot Dog

“It’s the almost arrogant hope that drives people to submit their dogs. They’ll say, ‘This is the hottest dog,’ and I look at this dog and I see a 6,” Simon said.

I relearned sales from a stand-up comedian

Simon practices a lot. Like a lot, a lot.

When he’s not performing or writing, he’s analyzing his sets. Simon records all of his performances and watches them over and over with the scrutiny of an art film critic.

Simon Fraser ’20 to perform at Yale-Harvard Comedy Show

“His style is very him, if that makes sense,” Aguirre said. “I think he has a very particular voice. Untraditionally classic is, I think, a good oxymoron. When you watch it, it feels like stand-up, but I don’t know; the energy is very particular. It’s like skewed tradition, but in the best way possible.”
